Pre-Approvals and Special Offers
When you contact an owner with questions before booking, they may respond by offering you a pre-approval or a Special Offer.
- A pre-approval allows you to finalize a reservation for the dates and number of passengers discussed in your message thread.
- A Special Offer enables the owner to propose specific rates, alternative dates, or additional booking details before you proceed with the reservation. Please note that a pre-approval is not a confirmation of your reservation. A reservation is confirmed only after you click the "BOOK" button within the owner-renter discussion and provide your payment information.
If an owner has granted you a pre-approval, your reservation is not confirmed until you've clicked the "BOOK" button in the discussion with the owner and provided your payment information. Owners can send pre-approvals to multiple potential renters, so if you've found the perfect boat, be sure to complete the booking process quickly. You have a 24-hour window to accept a pre-approval before it expires. Beyond this period, you can still accept the pre-approval, but the owner will need to approve your request to confirm the reservation.
