How the disputes are handled?
As a boat owner on boatUnity, opening a dispute against a renter is a process that should be approached with careful consideration and clarity. It's essential to prioritize communication with co-navigators before initiating a dispute. Many issues can be resolved amicably through open dialogue and mutual understanding. However, if no agreement can be reached, community members can involve our dispute resolution center as a third party to facilitate communication and seek a resolution.
It's important to note that the dispute resolution center does not have the authority to arbitrate or make decisions. Instead, it acts as a mediator to help parties communicate effectively. Only written exchanges shared on the boatUnity platform will be considered in the mediation process. We can collect additional information from both parties, and work towards an acceptable, fair and impartial resolution but ultimately, it's up to the members involved to reach an agreement.
If our mediation fails to reach a resolution, we will advise you to seek assistance from the appropriate legal authorities.
