How do reviews work ?
On boatUnity, trust is essential. That's why, as a boat captain or owner, reviews play a crucial role. After each booking, your profile can be evaluated. This means that every trip is an opportunity to build your reputation. Reviews are a powerful tool to attract trustworthy renters and encourage co-navigators to choose your boat. The more stars and positive reviews you accumulate, the higher your chances of getting your boat booked.
Comments
After each journey, boat owners and co-navigators can leave comments. You have 14 days to write a review. It will remain hidden until the other party leaves their review or until the end of the 14-day period. Afterward, reviews are posted on profiles and listings. A star rating is also possible, showing future co-navigators the quality of your boat. Reviews are a tool for sharing your experiences and for owners, a way to understand how to improve.
Ratings
In addition to comments, co-navigators can give you a general rating to assess their experience aboard your boat. Ratings are in stars (from 1 to 5). The overall rating will then be displayed on the boat's listing and undoubtedly significantly influence potential co-navigators' decisions to book your boat.
Co-navigators can also rate more precisely the following categories and provide feedback on what they liked or what could be improved.
- Accuracy of the listing
- Onboard comfort and cleanliness
- Boat maintenance
- Hospitality and communication
- Overall satisfaction level
- Value for money
Private Comments
Co-navigators can send you private messages via our messaging system, accessible from your account, as part of their comments. These messages are confidential and not visible to other boatUnity members. This allows the sender to address specific points without affecting your public rating or the comments you receive. You can also send private messages to co-navigators in response to their comments.
Comments on Co-navigators
By leaving comments on your co-navigators, you can express your gratitude and provide constructive feedback. This also encourages co-navigators to leave comments about their experience aboard your vessel. We recommend that comments be respectful, factual, and constructive. For more sensitive subjects, remember to address these issues politely if you wish to make them public; otherwise, prefer private messages via our messaging system.
You have the ability to rate co-navigators in categories such as cleanliness, communication, and adherence to basic rules. Again, boatUnity is based on user trust, which is why your comments help enforce these rules, and we thank you for that.
