Pre-approvals and special offers
When a renter contacts you with questions before booking, you can respond by offering a pre-approval or a Special Offer.
- Pre-approval :
A pre-approval informs potential renters of your boat's availability during discussions about a possible booking. When you grant a pre-approval for a renter's request, you allow them to finalize a reservation for the discussed dates and passenger count in your message thread by automatically confirming a reservation for specific dates. This action does not prevent those dates from being reserved by others, allowing you to pre-approve multiple renters simultaneously. In this case, it's a first-come, first-served rule.
Renters have a 24-hour window to confirm a pre-approved booking. After that, renters can still request to book your listing at the rate offered during the pre-approval unless you choose to revoke the pre-approval. You can also remove the pre-approval at any time within the conversation.
Please note that a pre-approval is not a confirmation of a booking. A booking is only confirmed after the co-navigator/renter clicks the "BOOK" button in the message thread and proceeds with payment.
- Special Offer :
A special offer allows you to propose specific rates, alternative dates, or additional booking details before the co-navigator/renter proceeds with the booking.
